Comic-Con International holds an Independent Film Festival each year featuring the best short independent films in a variety of categories along with a special programming track focused on the "how-tos" of independent film making.
Judged by a panel of qualified industry experts, the CCI-IFF accepts genre-related films in the following categories: Action/Adventure, Animation, Comics-oriented, Pop Culture-Related Documentary, Horror/Suspense, Humor, and Science Fiction/Fantasy. Awards and prizes will be given out at Comic-Con on July 24 this year, with film screenings all four days of the event.
